A co-branded central hub space for a multi-week, citywide international art competition

Herman Miller: ArtPrize® Hub

ArtPrize is an open, independently organized, international art competition held in Grand Rapids, MI. As a sponsor, Herman Miller's Brand Marketing team was tasked with designing and co-branding the HUB space which acted as a place for the public to find information and buy merchandise, the event's headquarters for volunteers, and a lounge for participating artists.

In addition to the hub space, Herman Miller and ArtPrize collaborated with the UICA's youth program ArtWorks — a summer program supporting students interested in the arts. Herman Miller's VP of Creative, Steve Frykholm, spoke with the group and gave the assignment to design speech bubbles decals around one of five given themes. The winning artwork was applied to Herman Miller Meridian® file cabinets and displayed at The HUB throughout ArtPrize.
